Noise texture is not interchangeable across modalities
CT noise is signal-independent and roughly Gaussian after reconstruction; MRI magnitude noise is Rician and brighter in high-signal regions; PET noise is Poisson-limited by dose and blurred by detector physics; ultrasound speckle is multiplicative. A denoising or harmonization method tuned for one of these will not transfer to the others without re-derivation.
